Writing Fonts - Bring Warmth Back To Your Digital Communication

Today much of what we do is digital, everything is designed to be fast and efficient. The problem is that all communication becomes very impersonal. The fine art of writing by hand more simply does not exist. Our Word documents and our emails no longer have the same charm, warmth and personality as a letter that is written by hand. Even if we had the time and inclination to write all of our correspondence to our loved ones, it is not always possible. They could be traveling or not at a fixed address.

You might have some bonus handwriting fonts you use, but do you have your own personal handwriting font? Did you know that you can convert your handwriting into a font on the internet? The process is simple. In general, you are prompted to download sample grid in which you write all the letters of the alphabet and whatever symbols you want. You can then scan and upload them and that's it. You are able to download a font of your handwriting. I can not tell you how rewarding it is to see your handwriting as a font! You can then use it to make invitations, cards, letters!

Some sites even allow you to send realistic looking handwritten to electronic mailbox letters using your own typeface. Although it is obviously better to actually write a letter this is a great second best option, especially if you only have one email address and homeless. How it works is that the receiver receives an image of an envelope in their inbox which then binds to the letter. You can choose from a selection of different papers, different pen colors and whether to have lined paper or not.

So if you are bored of digital go out and make your communication more personal, you will not regret it!

Ten Tips for Getting Writing Ideas

The number one question I asked when I tell someone I'm a writer, "Where do you get your ideas?" This has never been a problem for me. Actually, I am opposite problem. I have so many ideas swirling in my head it's hard to focus on one. If you're struggling to find ideas for writing, I have some advice for you.

A good place to start when looking for subjects to write is your own interests. If you are an avid gardener, you may want to write about the gardens. If you enjoy cooking, writing for the food section of the local newspaper or a gourmet magazine. If sports are your thing, you might want to interview athletes for sports magazines.

Whenever I travel to a new place, I see so many interesting sites. If you like traveling, you can plant an article in a travel magazine before your next trip. You might even get some of your expenses paid for. I also wrote about new plants, animals and scenery that I have seen in my travels.

The first thing I do every morning after pouring a cup of coffee reading the newspaper. You are bound to come up with new ideas each time you read the newspaper. Whether you enjoy reading the first page or section of arts and entertainment, you will find a topic to write about. Take an idea and put a new twist or spin on it.

My family is a great source of inspiration for my writing. If you like to write for children or parents, you get lots of great ideas while watching members of your own family. Even if you do not write parenting articles, you can write a hobby someone in your family has or write about your dog or cat for a magazine company.

PHOTOS and albums

Many times, looking at old photos is a good way to get ideas for your writing. Old memories resurface and remind you of events long forgotten. Maybe you come across a picture of your kids learn to ride a bike or a camping trip you took with your family. There is no end to the possibilities.

When you are finished with your writing for the day, you can relax and watch a little TV. I found that educational stations like Animal Planet, Food Network, the History Channel and always give me ideas for stories and articles. You will not feel so guilty watching TV if it inspires you to write.

I do not know about your dreams, but mine can be a little crazy sometimes. You should start jotting down your dreams as soon as you wake up in the morning. You may find a great plot for a story.

This always works for me. When I'm a little tired and ideas simply do not want to come, I'll take a walk or a bike ride. Exercise wakes up my brain and I start to think clearly again.

You probably learned this technique in school and used to write compositions. Brainstorming is a very effective way to get ideas for writing. Choose a topic you want to write. Then start brainstorming on this and write every word that comes to mind. For example, if your subject is dogs, you could write leashes, dog food, ball, bone, collar, Frisbee, walking, animals, friends, etc. Keep brainstorming on your topic for ten or fifteen minutes and you should have an idea for a story or article.

Listen to music

You might not be able to write while listening to music, but it is a great way to get ideas. Music often brings memories of your past and help you relax. The next time you're stuck for an idea, turn on the radio for a few minutes.

I hope some of these techniques to find ideas for writing work for you. I know they've always worked for me and I rarely ever run out of ideas for writing. Happy writing!

Creative Writing Ideas - 7 Secrets To An Endless Flow Of Creative Writing Ideas

Creative Writing Ideas

As a copywriter, ideas are the starting point for everything you write. Sometimes they come easy and sometimes they seem to dry up completely. But there are plenty of ways you can get more ideas for creative writing. Here are 7 of the best secrets for endless ideas for your writing:

1 believe you are a channel for great ideas without end. Having a flow of good ideas begin to believe that you can have that flow. Imagine you're standing in a storm and rain pouring down all around you, dip you to the bone. Now imagine every drop of water is an idea. If you believe that ideas are always flowing down, you'll be able to immerse yourself in whenever you like!

2 Use an Ideas Journal. This is the secret key for all the ideas of creative writing you need. Get a laptop simple pocket and take it with you wherever you go. Once you have an idea, write it down, and then continue with what you were doing. The more you use your Ideas Journal, other ideas will flow to you.

3 Go with the natural energy idea. Often we will try to fit an idea into a framework that we already have, forcing it into a form, it is not meant to be, and end up frustrated and feeling like we never have useful ideas. Instead, find an idea that you're excited about and build around it. Let it evolve naturally rather than forcing them to be something it is not.

4 experiment with ideas of cross-pollination. An effective way to generate new ideas is to raise the ones you have. Take two seemingly unrelated ideas and ask, "How could they be related? How can they complement each other? "Often, just the contrast between the two is enough to generate new ideas that you might otherwise not have come up with.

5 Plot ideas on mind maps. Mind maps are just a visual image of how the ideas and associations are formed in your mind. Start by writing a word or phrase in a circle at the center of a large sheet of paper. Then write the words and ideas connected to the various arms coming out of the central idea. Then do the same for each of these new ideas. Continue as long as you want to generate dozens of potential new writing ideas.

6 Observe your natural idea highs. Notice when, where and in what circumstances you most ideas. Maybe you tend to feel more creative late at night or early morning? Maybe there are some places where ideas seem to flow more freely? How can you recreate these conditions high point of natural idea most often?

7 Read as much as possible. The more you expose yourself to a wide range of different handwriting, the easier it will boost your own writing ideas. You can watch on two levels. First the content - that writing is actually on. Second, techniques and structure - how the author engages you and how they make you feel. Take these ideas on board and adapt for use in your own creative writing.

Writing under the Influence: Inspiration, Plagiarism and Homage

In this article I want to address some of the issues to consider when your writing is certainly inspired by another story. There are different types of inspiration. Some are considered admirable; others may lead to prosecution. This item is not the last word on legal issues, but hopefully make you aware of them.

There is nothing wrong with being inspired to write the story of another author; in fact, I think almost all writers start out as stories readers. Reading experiences can be so strong - so exciting - that readers want to continue the experience even after the end of the story. A person can read a book and think, I want to do that! If you do not like, or have never known, reading fiction, then you should ask yourself why you want to write. For fame and fortune? Of course, some authors handle this, but most do not. It is easier, more reliable ways to earn money and fame.

Many stories have similar elements. In fact, some people such as Christopher Booker argues that all stories are built on one of the seven basic plots (numbers and descriptions of the different plots). If this is true, it is not surprising that many stories are similar, sometimes obviously, sometimes less obvious. We will cover cases of obvious similarity - plagiarism and homage - then move on to examples that are a little less obvious.

Plagiarism is bad. There may be something to copy verbatim and put your name on it, something happened too often in schools and universities and is considered so great that violation may be grounds for dismissal . Sometimes it is not a copy, but a copy nonetheless ideas. Here's what Wikipedia says about plagiarism:

Plagiarism is "misappropriation" and "steal and publication" of another author's "language, thoughts, ideas, or expressions," and the representation of them as one's own original work. ... Plagiarism is not a crime in itself, but in academia and industry, it is a felony ethics and plagiarism may constitute copyright infringement.
Plagiarism occurs even among the well-known authors. There was a famous case in which the novel prolific writer Janet Dailey borrowed passages from the novel even more prolific writer Nora Roberts and published these passages in Aspen Gold (curiously, it is the only book "with" Janet Dailey I ever read - - and I guess that means I still have not read through it). A settlement was reached, but it seems to prove that plagiarism is tempting to everyone, even for successful writers. The reason is clear: it is getting credit and perhaps money for doing nothing.

My unequivocal advice: do not plagiarize. When quoting another author, give credit where credit is due. Check what are the limits on fair use.

In tribute, you are supposed to be show your respect and admiration for another writer or artist, referring to their work. The tribute may be direct, as when geeks in The Big Bang Theory refer to Star Wars and Star Trek. It may be oblique, as when the characters in a story behave like the characters in another story, perhaps by having a similar conversation or by a technique that echoes another.

The line between homage flatters the original artist and a level that the original artist considers the flight is not always clear. From the comments accompanying the DVD I learned that a particular episode of Deep Space Nine Star Trek, "Our Man Bashir" was honored, that is, to pay homage to the James Bond franchise. The episode was very similar to James Bond; eg James Bond, he is a "Dr. No, "while in the episode" Deep Space Nine "there is a" Dr. Noah. "Obviously, the creators of Deep Space Nine thought they were paying a compliment to the James Bond franchise, but the owners of the James Bond franchise are not happy. Deep Space Nine was told to give up. Next time Bashir visited the holodeck wear a tuxedo, the scene was very short. So tribute can be in the eye of the beholder.

Inspirations twists

There are many famous stories inspired by other stories examples. West Side Story, musical by Leonard Bernstein, is based on Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. Bernstein has made many changes to the original: the setting is in New York, instead of Verona; Bernstein factions are the Jets and the Sharks from Puerto Rico, rather poor groups fighting for power in New York instead of the two houses of the rich Capulets and Montagues of Verona; Maria character who takes the role of Juliet does not die (which makes it kind of sad at the end). And of course, West Side Story is full of music and dance.

Bernstein does not have to worry about offending the original author, that Shakespeare had been dead for centuries before Bernstein wrote West Side Story. In addition, there are certainly plenty of originality in West Side Story. Even if you can see the outline of Romeo and Juliet inside, Bernstein has been well known to its own history.

Here are some ways to take familiar stories and develop differently:

Different Point of View. You might say Cinderella in terms of one of the ugly stepsisters.

Different average. You can take a story that is a play and make a novel like Alice Underwood and I did it with Jocasta: The Mother-Wife of Oedipus, which tells the story of Oedipus Rex by Sophocles (we have also changed the view). West Side Story took a play and made a musical.

Different time and. A recent and very popular example is Suzanne Collins The Hunger Games, which has much in common with the history of the ancient Greek hero Theseus and the youth groups and the Athenian maidens sent as offerings to the Minotaur of Crete.

Different keywords. You can take a story with a happy ending and make sad; or take a sad or depressing end and make him happy. Sometimes the version with the modified end becomes more popular than the original. For example, in the original version of "Little Red Riding Hood," the young girl dressed in scarlet was eaten by the wolf; history was used to warn children of the dangers of wandering in the woods. However, these days, and indeed, for many years, most people only know the version of "Little Red Riding Hood" in which the little girl survives, usually rescued by a woodsman or a hunter.

Different versions of the characters. Maybe you'll change genders or ages, or even species of original characters.

Various vibration. You can take a story that is usually serious and make it funny. An example of this is the parody of Lord of the Rings, known Bored of the Rings by the Harvard Lampoon.

Combining influences

Another possibility is to let your writing is influenced by two or more different sources. When she started writing Harry Potter, JK Rowling must have been inspired by countless books Enid Blyton on residential schools. However, Rowling magic (and many other things), which makes the story itself. In his novels, although she paid tribute to others, as in calling the drink "butterbeer" favorite after a character in the Lord of the Rings, the innkeeper Butterbur.

Combining influences can lead to a whole new sub-genres. Romance was combined with fantasy and horror to create stories of love with vampires. Other examples of combined influences include novels of time travel, paranormal romances, mysteries featuring cats and historical mysteries. If you are a big fan of both genres or two particular stories, why not mix them together and see what comes out?

Creating stories do not occur in a vacuum. You can create something new and wonderful if you get inspired by other works; you can create a richer reading experience for your audience if you incorporate some of these influences.

In general, you should not plagiarize and you need to create your own story. However, there is an important exception. In the next article, we will examine some of the problems you encounter when writing fan fiction; that is, if you choose to write a work completely in a world created by another.

Writing a Good Blog

Writing a Good Blog

Blogs or Web logs, are online journals that are updated frequently, sometimes even daily. An update (also known as a starter or a job) is usually quite short, perhaps a few sentences, and readers can often respond to online registration. People who write blogs are commonly called bloggers. Bloggers, tongue in cheek, call themselves and their blogs in the blogosphere.

Blogs are a great way to keep everyone in the family on the latest news of the family without running up the phone bill - you can just read back over the important updates for the latest news. In addition, many blogs are used to host images and their chronological structure can be a great way to keep track of the growth of a baby, a trip, or the process of planning a wedding.

Professional writers often look down on bloggers, because their informal online writing rarely has a good editor. Blogs are known for their casual writing and unpredictable material object, but the best blogs have proved that - regardless of punctuation and spelling - even writers "novices" can be entertaining enough to attract a large audience.

Bloggers with a particular subject of commitment, as the chronicle of a trip around the world, have the advantage of material intrinsically interesting, but even mundane material can attract an audience if you have an engaging style and voice.

Here are three guidelines for writing a successful blog:

Develop a writing style and tone that suits your material in question.
Post often, even if your messages are short.
Allow your readers to comment on your posts.

Develop a writing style and voice

A great website design and technical gadgets do not replace the development of a style of writing interesting to read. Most of us do not make a lot of personal writing in our lives every day or even keeping a journal. Write about yourself is never easy, and you may find yourself freezing in front of the computer screen or become stilted and unnecessarily wordy.

Here are some suggestions you can use to develop your own voice and style of your blog. First, remember that a blog is a conversation. Try to write the way you talk. Avoid jargon and clichés and do not abuse the thesaurus. It may be helpful to talk about your entry aloud before attempting to enter or read it aloud after you've written. If you have trouble you read aloud does not talk too much, think about what you would say if you were talking to a friend rather than writing.

Second, write your blog with a special friend or family member in mind. Thinking of someone you know well and who might want to read your blog will help you relax your writing style. That is why it has become popular for many people start diary entries with Dear Diary. The goal is to get your writing sounds more like you and less like a high test.

Always consider your audience. If you write only for close friends and family, you do not need to explain that Sarah is your 8 year old daughter, whenever you mention her. But if your blog attracts a wider audience, you can create references or glossaries to help new readers to follow along.

Finally, before you start blogging, spend some time visiting other blogs that are like the one you are thinking of starting. Read one or two for a few weeks and pay attention to things like the length of messages, frequency, writing style and subject material. You can get some good ideas for your own blog noting what you find interesting and compelling in other people's blogs.

Update, update, update

Blogs that attract the most readers are those with frequent updates. If you start a blog, be prepared to spend some time working on it every day or two. If you're going to be a blogger, you have to blog! It takes discipline for most of us to write even the conversation every day. If you find yourself dreading your blog post, perhaps a blog is not for you.

As you go about your day, keep the blog on the back of your mind. You can even carry a notebook where you can write down reminders for topics you want to blog a little later. Start paying attention to the parts of your life that are most interesting to you; those areas that are likely friends and family are most interested in as well. Do not be afraid to write about daily activities - parking tickets and car repairs - but do not neglect to talk about what you think and feel. All these areas, it will be possible for you to update it frequently.

Having a co-blogger can take some of the pressure, especially if all authors contribute regularly. If you will be working with several people on a blog, talk on the frequency you expect another to add to that you can keep some focus and cohesion of your blog.

If you update your blog on a weekly, biweekly or monthly, try to be consistent when you add new posts so that your readers know when to catch up. For example, you can choose to update your site every Sunday evening.

Invite comments

An important aspect of blogs is that they have the drafting of the blogger and the readers' comments. When you visit a blog, you will often find a comment link below the text of each blog. By clicking this link, you can read reviews of others and submit your own. Usually bloggers make their own comments in messages on their site, but sometimes a blogger adds a reply in the comments section because it is a more direct approach to the comment of another way.

All bloggers choose the comment function does not implement, but if you want to develop a dialogue with the public, the comments are the best way to do it. The comment feature is an easy way to engage your audience and get valuable information about what you are doing with your blog.

If you decide to allow comments on your blog, do not forget to keep an eye on them. The comment feature, it is possible for anyone to add comments to your blog and you may not always like what they have to say. For example, spammers sometimes take advantage of bloggers inattention to do a bit of marketing you do not want on your blog. Any good blogging software, it is easy for the author to delete comments.

Article Writing Brainstorms - Part II

Are you an article writer? If you are, then you probably know how important it is to write fun, interesting and easy to read articles. Unfortunately, there are many writers who fail to realize that everyone does not have the exact same interests they have. Of course, you are invited to write articles on topics you love or know, I urge you to get out of the comfort zone and broaden your horizons. You might want to think about writing articles that cover "hot topics", although these subjects are outside your comfort zone. Remember, the sky is the limit, as they say.

When it comes to writing articles that are outside your comfort zone, you can be like most other writers. Many are beginning to wonder how they begin to write. There are many different approaches you can take. One of the first steps is to include brainstorming. Brainstorming is used by many if not all authors, like you, to come up with story ideas. However, there are many people who believe that brainstorming is to use your brain only. Your mind is a powerful tool that you can use to make brainstorming worth its time, though no the only tool. You can also use the Internet as a tool. In fact, when writing articles that you may not be familiar with, you will certainly find that the Internet is your best source of information.

When you try to reach the most readers, you have to concentrate on writing articles that subjects that are considered "hot topics." This can include any number of different things. For example, a "hot topic", can be considered a new recent report, or some gossip concerning a popular celebrity, a much debated question, or a popular product or service that is available to the public. Decide which "hot topic", you want to cover is yours; However, it is good to know that many users like to read articles that focus on popular products or services. These types of articles are often referred to as product reviews.

When you become interested in writing an article that targets a particular product or that serves as a good review on a product, go online and look at the popular shopping sites. Two very popular sites such as eBay and Amazon. The good thing about eBay and Amazon is that they often go the list items Popularly there on their home pages. These items are often those who are the most purchased or at least research. Writing an article that focuses on these kinds of popular objects; elements that Internet users are mostly buying is one of the best ways to come up with fun, interesting, and valuable articles; the kind that are actually played. The same can be said for a service currently offered or perhaps a history of popular news.

After you have decided exactly what you want to write, which is accomplished in your thinking, you must then decide exactly what you will write. The first thing to do is create an outline of your ideas. In your plan, keep in mind that you must do extensive or examine the topic you plan on covering in your article research. So if you plan to write an article on a popular brand name cleaning, it is advisable to familiarize yourself with the cleaner as much as you can. Some of the best review articles are manufactured by writers who have actually used or will use the target product, obviously the use of the product not required. You can easily locate product reviews online; in fact, you can do this right on the Amazon site. Also a Google search on "product reviews" will productive. At time of this writing, I had 80 million results for "product reviews" on Google.

When you write about a subject, particularly a popular item or service, your best chance for success is to use a shopping website like Amazon or eBay, please keep in mind that you do have other options. Other options involve standard internet search tools and keyword research. Search the internet allows you to come up with topics that are already used as articles; giving you an idea of the competition that exists for certain subjects. Research tools Keyword tell you exactly what keywords that people are searching for information and how research is done.

Whatever topic you choose to write, whether it covers a product, service, or some news story, you are sure to succeed as long as you cover something that is a popular subject at the time in need. An approach of this kind is one of the easiest and fastest ways to get your name and your articles distributed over the Internet as an expert writer.

Article Writing Brainstorms - Part I

Do you happen to be an article writer? If you are, how you write your articles? Will you commit to brainstorm? Well, you might want to think about doing it if it is not. With a good close look, you will see exactly how brainstorming can work for you when it comes to writing articles.

Before taking a look at the advantage of using brainstorming to write articles, you must first understand exactly what brainstorming is. Brainstorming is a technique useful in many different situations, not just article writing. I saw in most cases, brainstorming is used in solving many different problems. So when it comes to article writing, this problem can be exactly what to write and how to write. The most effective method for brainstorming is to write down all your ideas as they form of thought come to you. How do you organize and use these ideas will be completely up to you, at least you have always been recorded on paper. If you do not use anything that's OK too.

In fact, the most difficult part of brainstorming is to come up with a bunch of ideas. As an article writer, I invite you to have a pen and paper available at any time. Main reason, many writers including myself develop ideas to some of the most inconvenient or inopportune times. When you sit down and record ideas that you, yourself, have thought, you can also do a little research. One of the easiest and best ways I have mastered to do this research is online.

Search engines and article directories are excellent sources of information. Perform standard Internet research on topics that interest you or topics that you are ready to write about is paramount. I like Internet search. It is one of the best ways to get ideas for articles. You can take the ideas you come up with, then think from there. Your next step should be to create a report based on all of your ideas related terms. Contours are equally beneficial for the authors of the article as brainstorming is.

From up there, you know exactly what we now hope brainstorming is, what it entails, and the few steps to get a brainstorm. Now, you may be exactly the reason for doing so ask. The most obvious use for brainstorming to your advantage because is coming up with many ideas the more the better. Running out of ideas for articles should never happen with an unlimited number of topics at hand. A real item or a writer should always have something to write. The writing is really just put thoughts on paper processor or word.

This is where powerful thoughtful reflection can happen. An example, did you know you could take a matter of the article you have used to create a brand new article? Let's say you created an article about the sale of Geckos. By sitting down and thinking or brainstorming, you might be able to get more ideas for items to sell gecko, geckos for sale as Christmas or even how to make your own Gecko habitat. You can search online and geckos brainstorm of the information collected.

The most powerful benefits for thought, is that often the ideas just keep flowing. As I mentioned above, if you wrote an article about the sale of geckos gecko habitats or do you have to disassociate yourself from the sale of reptiles and focus only on geckos. Once you do, it is likely that your mind is filled with ideas. Make brainstorming as easy and simple as it can be one of the best ways to come up with the most ideas. And, as mentioned earlier, you do not have to come up with ideas on your own. You can use the free access to your local library, search engines, article directories, and online forums to help you help thinking and generating ideas for your articles. In fact, the more tools you use, the best results of your brainstorming sessions
can produce.

As you can see, there are many benefits to taking the time to think. To brainstorm effective start brainstorming on topics that you already have knowledge about. Also do your thinking in a comfortable place. Being relaxed and comfortable is the key to a brainstorming session successfully.
